Nothing you type leaves your browser
The calculator is a static page. The tax engine runs in your browser tab, on your device. Your salary, your pension contributions, your children, your student loan — none of it is transmitted anywhere, because there is no server to transmit it to.
No cookies, and no cookie banner
This site sets no cookies. It does not use local storage, session storage or IndexedDB. You have not been asked to accept anything because there is nothing to accept, which is how it should be and is worth saying out loud.
The one thing that does persist is the address bar. Your figures are mirrored into the URL so that a result can be linked and shared. That happens in your browser, and the query string is never sent to us — but do bear in mind that a link you share carries the figures in it.
Analytics
If analytics are enabled on a deployment of this site, they are cookieless and collect no personal data and no cross-site identifiers: a page view, a referrer and a country. No individual is profiled and nothing is shared with advertisers.
If you give an email address for a launch notification, it is passed to a hosted mailing list provider and used for that one message. It is not sold, shared or used for anything else, and every message carries an unsubscribe link. That is the only personal data this site ever collects, and only when you type it in and submit it.
Your rights
Because nothing but an email address is ever collected, there is very little to exercise rights over — but you can ask for a copy of it or ask for it to be deleted at any time, and unsubscribing removes it.
